Carol Whitehurst Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Whitehurst of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Douglas and Kathleen Coggins Barnes; and her brother Louis Douglas Barnes, Jr. (Carol). She is survived by: her husband Lomer Hayes Whitehurst, Jr.; her daughters, Elizabeth Whitehurst Overman (Casey) and Lauren Hayes Whitehurst; her grandsons, Grant, Carter and Weston Overman; her brother Stephen Joseph Barnes (Cindy); and her sister-in-law Sheila Barnes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
