She was predeceased by: her parents, Eppa Hunton, IV and Caroline Homassell Marye Hunton; and her husband John Hardy High. She is survived by: her sons, John Hardy High, Jr. (Gayle) and Robert Morton High (Mary); her grandchildren, Robert Morton High, Jr. (Kacey), John Hardy High, III and Julia Hunton High; and her siblings, Eppa Hunton and Virginia Hunton Totten. She is also survived by her three nieces; and her two nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Good Shepherd (231 N Church St, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A committal service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Pineview Cemetery (761 W Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801). A reception will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Benvenue Country Club (100 Southern Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Caroline's memory to The Church of Good Shepherd, 231 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
