She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Brake and Dorothy Brake; her husband James Richard "J. R." Hamlett; her granddaughter Lily Claire Langley; and her brothers, Tommy Brake and Dickie Brake.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Turner (Bruce) of Nashville, Rick Hamlett of Rocky Mount, Ashlie Waters (Shane) of Jacksonville, Brandie Perry (Glenn) of Battleboro and Christian Langley (Travis) of Rocky Mount; her daughter-in-law Amy Hamlett of Rocky Mount; her siblings, Sandra Gardner (Billy) of Rocky Mount, Debra Calhoun (Wayne) of Rocky Mount, Donnie Brake (Patricia) of Red Oak and Lolita Keel of Rocky Mount; her sister-in-law Joy Roberts of Battleboro; her grandchildren, Jordan Flowe (Paul), Trey Perry, Lauren Perry, James Turner, Andrew Turner, Grace Gray (Matthew), Aubrey Langley, Savannah Joyner (Trevor), Chloe Hamlett, Evan Waters, Thomas Sugg, Caden Hamlett, Eli Perry and Easton Langley; and her great grandchildren, Ezra and Mary Flowe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and family friends.
