She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lee Shumaker and Jeanette Shumaker; her husband Gary Palmer; her son Leland Palmer; and her brother-in-law Floyd Hutchinson.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Moss (Daniel Owens); her grandchildren, Michael Palmer (Christina), Michael Owens (Kaitlyn) and Tabitha Boswell (Laney Dorsy); and her sister Linda Hutchinson.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Englewood Presbyterian Church (100 S Englewood Dr, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
