She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Speight; her daughters, Heather Pernell of Newport News, VA and Jennifer Hemilright (Benjamin "Benji") of Cary; her stepchildren, Cheryl Mastroianni (Greg) of Charlotte and Andy Speight (Hilde) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Ian Hemilright, Olivia Mastroianni, Rose Mastroianni, Naomi Mastroianni, Caleb Speight and Jonas Speight; and her brothers, Jimmy Shearon (Laurie) of Elm City and John Robert "Howdy" Shearon (Brenda) of Rocky Mount.
