It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan M. Cooke of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Lee and Alma Edwards Cooke; and his brothers, Fred "Jack", Reggie and David Earl Cooke.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Cooke; his children, Dan Milton Cooke, Jr. (Michele) of Virginia Beach, Mark Anthony Cooke of Rocky Mount and Kimberly Douglas (Kenneth) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Jennifer Christie Krueger (Kevin), Joyce Cooke and Michael Ailstock; and his great grandchildren, Katrina, Summerlyn, Autumn Krueger and Freya Vick. He is also survived by many friends and other extended relatives.

When he wasn't fishing or boating, he could often be found riding his motorcycle in charity rides.
