He is survived by: his wife Joy Jenkins Dunbar; his children, Angel Dunbar Lynn (Timmy) of Morehead City, NC and David Jay Dunbar Jr. of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Destiny Fuller and Jalyn Lynn; and his great grandchild Gracie Fuller.
