He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Bowden and Estelle Bowden; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Newkirk and Ed Toretta. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Bowden; his sons, Jared Heath Bowden (Kristi) of Chapel Hill and Justin Ray Bowden (Callie) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his grandchildren, Savannah, Jamie, Jack, Ava and Nolan Bowden; his sisters, Barbara Toretta, Dianne Bowden, Sandra Wood (Sherwood) and Lynn Morgan (Stephen); his in-law Brenda; and his friend Roy Bunn of Montana. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A reception will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM.
