He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos McKenzie and Josephine Nelson McKenzie; and his siblings, Amos McKenzie, II and Thelma Lilley. He is survived by: his brother Gus Lee McKenzie (Lucille) of Rocky Mount; his sibling's children, Cynthia Lilley of Rocky Mount, Amos McKenzie, III of Morrisville and Terry Lee McKenzie of Seagrove; his close friend Geraldine Malloy of Rocky Mount; and his friends, Lorraine Grant, Hubert Grant, Jr., Gary English (Erica), Regina Doré and Johnnie Mayo.
