Though Doris Jane may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sammie Woolcott and Hazel Riemersma; her husband Robert H. Burton; her children-in-law, Silvia Burton and Hank Brown; and her stepson Rick Hallock.
She is survived by: her children, Hope O'Keef (Bert) of Rocky Mount, Doris Brown of Roanoke Rapids and Michael Burton of Eloy, AZ. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, and her ten great-grandchildren.
