He was predeceased by : his parents, Philip Ira Avery and Josephine Marie Barnum Avery. He is survived by : his wife Patricia "Pat" Sniffin Avery; his sister Linda Cosco (George Kinch) of Monticello, NY; his sister-in-law Kathleen Tuthill of Reston, VA; his nephew Christopher Tuthill of Leesburg, VA; his niece Jennifer Maresca of Leesburg, VA; and his pet Dobie. He is also survived by aunt; several cousins.
