She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Arlene Owens Ellis and John Henry Ellis; and her sister Debra Ellis Phelps of Nashville, Tennessee.. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen S. Coltrane (Richard B. Coltrane III) of Charleston, SC and Kari L. Oblon (David A. Oblon) of Fairfax, VA; her grandchildren, Samuel Coltrane of New York, NY, Nathan Oblon of Asheville, NC and Jessica Oblon of Marthasville, MO; and her siblings, Sue Ellis Toffton of Rocky Mount, Joan Ellis Elliott of Lawton, OK, Tina Ellis Schnipke of Bluffton, OH, John L. Ellis of Rocky Mount and Adam Ellis of Lawton, OK..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). An entombment will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
