She is survived by: her children, Michael Dan Atkins (Lisa) of Nashville and Michelle Ann Atkins of Durham; her grandchildren, Leighann Whitehead (Buddy), Brandon Atkins (Savana) and Matthew Outlaw; and her great grandchildren, Layton Grey Atkins and Callum James Atkins.
