Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Georgia Lee Hyman Davis of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 80, on October 25, 2025. Though Georgia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Georgia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Hyman and Lillian Andrews Hyman. She is survived by: her son Gerald D. Bridgers of Calabash, NC; her adoptive son Terrence Goss; her daughters, Marian R. Bridgers of Rocky Mount, NC, Darlene Horne of Rocky Mount, NC and Darla Wade of Fort Worth, TX; and her brother Clifton Hyman of Durham, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren with other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary (1800 Western Blvd, Tarboro, NC 27886). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (900 Lloyd St, Tarboro, NC 27886).
