He was predeceased by: his parents, Gid Arthur Morris, Sr. and Jewell Elizabeth Etheridge Morris; and his siblings, Robert Osborne Morris and Erma Morris Smith. He is survived by: his wife Doris Ellen Pate Morris; his children, David Morris (C. B.) of Rocky Mount and Susan Morris Spann of Katy, TX; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Marquis (Drew), Georgia Morris, Melinda Quinteros (Julian), Sheila Long (James), Charles A. Spann, Virginia Spann and Sadie Shearer (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Cora, Cullen Long and Amira Morris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
