She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Robert Hyde and Maggie Thomas Hyde; her husband Johnie E. Davis; and her siblings, Wilbur Hyde, Hubert Hyde, Dorthene Rackley and Leola Joyner.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deb "Bunny" Davis of Atlanta, GA and Valerie "Jo Jo" Davis Manning (Steve) of Momyer; her grandchildren, Sherri Wells (Scott) and Wayne Manning (Courtney); her great grandchildren, Davis Manning, Charlotte Manning, Lauren Wells Pitts (Brandon) and Lindsey Wells; her great great grandchildren, Olivia Pitts and Macy Pitts; and her sisters, Weedie Hayes and Faye Farmer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
