He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. W. O. Rosser and Nancy Verser of Whitakers, NC; his wife Bonnie Lee Roberts Rosser; and his siblings, William Octavius Rosser, Nancy Rosser Kutulas and Mary Elizabeth Rosser Bradley.
He is survived by: his son Robert Judson Rosser (Karen) of Raleigh; and his grandsons, John Madison Rosser, Carson Andrew Rosser (Hannah Walser) and Daniel Locke Rosser.
