He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Edgar Rodwell, Sr. and Mamie Shearin Rodwell; his wife Frances Blalock Rodwell; and his siblings, Hazel R. Jones, Janet R. Burt, Edith R. Finch, Joseph J. Rodwell, Hugh Edgar Rodwell, Jr., William B. Rodwell, Wallace S. Rodwell, Thomas P. Rodwell and Elmer Coleman Rodwell, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Stuart Rodwell (Janet) of Raleigh and Amy Bates (Matt) of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Kathryn Hickman (Zach) of Nashville, TN, Rachel Bates (Andrew Deel) of Clarksville, TN and Justin Bates of Charlottesville, VA; and his great grandchildren, Ellie and Archie Deel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Englewood United Methodist Church (300 S Circle Dr, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
