He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jasper Walker and Hettie Ester Rose Walker; his wife Lula Belle Daniels Walker; his children, Donald Henry Walker and Ellen Patricia Walker; his daughter-in-law Sandra Sykes Walker; and his siblings, Ira "Clayton" Walker, Francis Ray Walker, John Jasper "Junior" Walker, Jr. and Evelyn Ester Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Walker Powell (Allen) and Francis Charles "Buddy" Walker; his granddaughter Amy Hoeing; his great grandchild Joseph Hoeing; his granddaughter Missy Brantley (Joshua); and his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Samuel Brantley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and good friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery (7724 Red Oak Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27868).
