Pate, Jr.; his brother-in-law Larry Herring; his nieces and nephews, Richard C. Pate, Carrie D. Pate, Denise Bissette, Chris Herring, Amy Branch, Toby Melton, Jeffrey Madigan and David Madigan; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Angelo D'Amato, Antonio D'Amato, Andretti D'Amato, Jessie A. Pate, Charles J. Pate, III and Brittany Pate; and his caregiver Mary Leach.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pineview Cemetery (761 W Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801).
