She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Firman and Freda Bacon Firman. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ann Garrett (Louis) of Rocky Mount, Jacqueline Marie Owens (Johnny) of Macclesfield, Christopher John Hales of Nashville and Charles David Hales of Macclesfield; her grandchildren, Cassie Jeans, Ciera Taylor, Montreal Taylor, Curtis Owens, Tiffany Owens and Amber Hales; her great grandchildren, Steven, Cameron, Josiah, Dontae, Maliyah, Addie and Shawn; her siblings, Ruth of England, Gwen of England, Allen of England and Chas of England; and her close friend John Hales. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
