She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Jack" Edward Howell, Sr. and Myrtle West Howell; her son Jeffrey Paul Cockrell; and her brothers, Micheal Ray Howell and James "Buddy" Edward Howell, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Cockrell Graybeal (David) of Wilson, NC; her granddaughters, Kamryn and Sydney Graybeal; her sister Jackie Howell Wall; and her sister-in-law Janice Crusenberry Howell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
