He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Barkley and Nina Williams Barkley; his son Phillip Barkley; his sisters, Jackie Moore and Kathy Parrish; his granddaughter Vickie Lynn Barkley; his brother-in-law James Moore; his nephew Gary Moore; and his great grandchild Hunter Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Jewel Barkley; his children, Tony Barkley (Andrea) of Red Oak and Christie Wolfe of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Cale Owens of Rocky Mount, Jared Barkley of Warrenton and Devin Barkley (Courtney) of Nashville; his great grandchildren, Sam Barkley and Gage Robinson; and his brother-in-law Wayne Parrish of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
