With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loretta Mae Manning Sherrick of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Manning and Elaine Manning; and her former husband David Bartley. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Sherrick; her sons, Kyle Bartley (Tonya) and Evan Bartley (Mandy); her grandchildren, Logan, Avery, Silas, Levi, Rowan, Gunner, Haven, Trevor, Andrew, Joshua and Lily; her stepchildren, Matthew Clayton Sherrick and Michelle Bradley (Matt); and her brother James "Jamie" Rudolph Manning, II (Renee).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bailey United Methodist Church (12437 Green St, Bailey, NC 27807). A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church (8658 New Sandy Hill Church Rd, Bailey, NC 27807).
