She was predeceased by: her parents, Abb Holmes and Mary Owens Holmes; her husband Clifton Winders; her daughter Vivian Winders Turner; and her siblings, Bertha Davis, Eva Brock, Sonny Holmes, Haddie Brock, Junior Holmes, Dorothy Waters, Durwood Holmes, Lin Holmes, Edward "Baby" Holmes and Rovy Holmes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jewel "Judy" Winders Batten (Gary) of Chattanooga, TN, Sue Winders Ayscue (Donnie) of Rocky Mount and Louette Boykin Riccardi (Rick) of Rocky Mount; her son-in-law Bobby Turner; her grandchildren, Gregory Batten, Michelle Robinson, Melissa Ayscue, Olivia Wilson, Cliff Ayscue, Adam Boykin and Emily Harbaugh; her great grandchildren, Tiffany Pollard, Aaron Robinson, Ethan Robinson, Kendall Ayscue, William McPeake-Batten, Rory Harbaugh and Brandon Walker; and her sister-in-law Janice Winders Brewer (Chick). She is also survived by her five great great-grandchildren.
