She was predeceased by: her parents, John Callie Winstead and Mamie Edwards Winstead; her husband George Thomas Weaver; and her siblings, Lilla Winstead Swindell, Pearl Lee Winstead Craft, Bessie Elizabeth Winstead Marshall, Addie Belle Winstead, Christine Catherine Winstead Walker, Henry Callie Winstead and Graham Johnny Winstead.
She is survived by: her children, Doug, Ricky Weaver (Gwen) and Tammie Hicks (Bennie); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Arnold (Rob), Elaine Henry (Kevin), Jennifer Pierce (Chad), Tyler Hicks (Scotty) and Brittany Bass (Matt); her great grandchildren, Sean (Allison), Scott, Holly, Madison, Reagan, Hannah, Ryker and Rhett; her daughter Dawn Lascallette (Johnnie); her granddaughter Meredith Spencer (Kaleb); her niece Jackie Turner (Ray); and her friend Celeste. She is also survived by her other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
