She is survived by : her husband Barry Leon Williams; her daughter Joslyn Williams; her parents, Elbert William Morton and Marie Baker Morton; her siblings, Rhonda Munn (David) and Rodney Morton (Rebecca); and her mother-in-law Marie Williams. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Englewood Baptist Church (1350 S Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27803). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michelle's name to City of Refuge Foundation, 1350 S. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
