She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Baker and Mattie Pridgen Baker; her husband Thomas "Tom" Wayne Billups; and her brothers, Lodis "Albert" Baker (Marie), Remus Randolph "Shine" Baker (Maggie Lee), Doc Baker (Kathleen) and Jimmy Baker (Inez).
She is survived by: her son Thomas "Ray" Billups (Meg); and her granddaughters, Kaila Elizabeth Billups and Kylie Grace Billups Powell (Justin). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A committal service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories (4454 Dortches Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
