She was predeceased by: her parents, Baxter Sergeant Hassam and Ruth Barrett Hassam; her husband John William Ferris; her daughter Doreen Ferris; and her brother Richard Ferris.
She is survived by: her children, Richard John Ferris of Greensboro, Melanie Ann Ferris of Bailey and Cynthia Denise Ferris Larson of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Teresa Foster Mowry (Brian), William "Billy" Lane Foster (Christina), Christopher Larson (Amanda), Dawn Knight, Derek John Ferris, Michael Ferris (Jessica), Ashley Ferris, Brittney Ferris and Shannon Ferris; and her pet Miss Kitty. She is also survived by her 22 great-grandchildren; her three nieces; her one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia's memory to Wave Church, 5334 Lamm Road, Wilson, NC 27893.
