She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Allen Vick and Ocie Bernice Joyner Vick; and her stepfather Guy "Bud" Parker. She is survived by: her husband Lindwood Ray Joyner; her daughters, Sandra Rose (David) of Fountain and Teresa Varnell (Robert) of Castalia; her stepchildren, Robin Joyner (Chris) of Rocky Mount and Bryan Joyner of Davidson; her grandchildren, Morgan King (David), R. C. Varnell III and Amber Varnell; her stepgrandchildren, Colby Joyner, Emerson Joyner, Claire Joyner and Kristin Varnell; her great grandchild Jameson King; her siblings, Toni Morgan (Randy) of Goldsboro and Steve Parker (Gale) of Rocky Mount; her nieces, Lori Harrell and Susan Emmerling; and her nephew Tyler Morgan.
