She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lee Griffin and Mary Allice Reid Griffin of Rocky Mount; her former husband Charles Pullen; and her husband Oscar Porter. She is survived by: her sister Elva Griffin Hux; her daughters, Cathryn "Cathy" Berry (Mike) of Rocky Mount and Renee Neiner (Mike) of Suwanee, GA; and her grandchildren, Brandon Berry, Natalie Lewis (Jim) and Dr. John Neiner (Ami). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Pineview Cemetery.

“I remember riding by the Pullen’s house on Christmas Eve every year when I was a little girl. Her tree had red lights on it and I loved that tree! I loved Mrs Peggy! My mother Fern Horne and I world visit Mrs Peggy at Spring Arbor and she always lifted our spirits. What a truly wonderful lady who had two beautiful daughters who are just like their amazing mother! She was loved by so many and will be missed but she’s with our Lord now and in no more pain! What a beautiful angel!!!”
