He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Flood and Gladys Flood. He is survived by: his wife Denise F. Flood; his son Richard Flood, Jr. (Amelia) of Rocky Mount; his siblings, Elaine Taylor of Rocky Mount, Buddy Flood of Nashville, Janet Walters (Andy) of Elm City, Donald Flood (Dale) of Rocky Mount and Lisa Webb (Steve) of Elm City; and his grandchildren, Ada Flood, Sophia Flood, Leah Bissette, Taylor Bissette and Dayne Selph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
