He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Robert Thomas Shearin and Ida Mae Harper Shearin Watkins; son: Richard "Ricky" Shearin, Danny Ray Shearin; daughter: Regina Hux (Anthony "Dee"); brothers: Clifton Shearin, Danny Harper, William Shearin, Mack Shearin, and Claude Shearin; sister: Nancy Thomas (Bill); grandchildren: Danny Kristopher Shearin, Danielle Shearin, Brittany Svoboda (Bobby), Anthony Hux (Allison); great-grandchildren: Lexie Seuss, Paisley, Corbynn, Robert Weston Svoboda, Avery Hux, and Addilyn Hux; caregivers: Lyndsey, Norma, Greyson, Melissa, and Timothy Deans; and many nieces, nephews, family friends, and other extended relatives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Davis-Little Funerals (2129 Lawrence Cir, Rocky Mount, NC 27804).
