Roberta Gaskins Weeks Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 18, 2026, at the age of 79, Roberta Gaskins Weeks of Rocky Mount, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ryland Crittenden Gaskins, Sr. and Emily Gertrude Conley Gaskins; her husband Hassell Howard Weeks, Jr.; and her brother Ryland Crittenden Gaskins, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Kimbelyn Delano Emory (Stuart Mason Emory) and Brian James Thornes (Megan Arth Thornes); her stepchildren, Dr. Hassell Howard Weeks, III (Pat Weeks) and Louis Batchelor Weeks (Trish Weeks); her stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Clarke Weeks, Katherine Weeks Copeman (Dillon), Ana Katherine and Ty Ellstrom; her sister Sue Forrester; her sister-in-law Shelva Gaskins; her friend Gwen Keane; and her dachshund Willow. She is also survived by three nephews, a niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bobbi's name to either First Presbyterian Church, 153 N Church St, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or to Rocky Mount Academy, 1313 Avondale Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
