He was predeceased by: his grandson Christopher Summerlin, Jr.; and his siblings, Mary "May" Tickle, Willie "Bud" Brown, Jr. and Susan Pittman. He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Greene (Tim Spain) of Rocky Mount, Janet Lanier (Shaun) of Ayden and Susan Summerlin of Rhode Island; his brothers, Jimmy Brown, Jerry Brown (Jane) of Tarboro, Darrel Brown of Whitakers, Charlie Brown (Susan) of Fayetteville and Ernie Brown (Bobbie) of Enfield; his grandchildren, Heather Baker (Wayne Hill), Bryan Greene, Ronnie Lanier, Stephanie Lanier, Emily Lanier, Khloe Summerlin, MaKena Daniels and Raidyn Ingram; his great grandchildren, Emma Brown, Noah Pridgen, Jayden Lanier, Josie Greene and William Baker, Jr.; his sister-in-law Mildred Brown of Enfield; and his pet Layla. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family friends.
