She was predeceased by: her father Lawrence M. Newsome; her husband Donald Ray Langston; her sons, Lawrence Deese and Stanley Deese; and her siblings, Raymond Newsome, Joseph Newsome, Berry Newsome, L. M. Newsome and Barbara Joyner.
She is survived by: her daughter Angela Deese; her grandson Matthew Deese; and her siblings, Carl Newsome (Sandra), Harvey Newsome (Mattie) and Lois Pierce. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
