He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Ervin Turner and Effie Marie Viverette Turner; his wife Hazel Parker Turner; and his siblings, Edwin McClees, Ervin Wayne, Milton Earl and Betty Jean Snyder.
He is survived by: his son Glenn Turner (Theresa) of Rocky Mount; his grandson Jason Matthew Turner (Shannon) of Raleigh; his great grandchildren, Miranda Mae of Raleigh, Olivia Hazel of Raleigh and Owen Scott Morris of Raleigh; and his sister Joyce Sherrod of Wilson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Spencer's memory to a charity of one's choice.
