She was predeceased by: her parents, Sue Avery and Mike Avery. She is survived by: her children, Brittany Lester (Ronald) of Rocky Mount, Ashley Stone (Derek) of Rocky Mount, Jessie Stone (Dani) of Rocky Mount and Jeffrey Stone (Serena) of Tarboro; her close friend Ken Hendricks of Rocky Mount; her brother Jay Demers (Dana) of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brianna, Madelyn, Jase, Natalie, Brooklyn, Braelynn and Carter; her nieces, Amanda Demers, Emilee Moss and Jaymie Demers; her nephew Chris Demers; her pet Lizzy; and her close friend Donna Griffin-Levijoki. She is also survived by great-nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to assist with expenses.
