He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wheeless and Lois Joyner Wheeless. He is survived by: his wife Debra Williams Wheeless; his stepchildren, Michael Long of Rocky Mount, Jennifer Johnson (Steven) of Rocky Mount and Kacie Long of Rocky Mount; his brother George V. "Chip" Wheeless, Jr. of New Bern; his sister-in-law Celia Weaver of Rocky Mount; Macey Johnson of California and Maitland Johnson of California.
