He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Spain and Ruby Simms Spain; and his brothers, Marvin Lewis Spain and Dennis Ray Spain. He is survived by: his children, William R. "Ron" Spain, Jr., Tammy Adams (John) of Rocky Mount and Michele Moore (John) of Newnan, Georgia; his brother Milton Earl "Red" Casper (Cheryl) of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Johnathan Tyler Adams, Joshua Moore, April Moore (Sean), Kai Moore and Dylan Moore; and his great grandchild Luna Rothrock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
