Judith Rose Schmidt Obituary
We bid farewell to Judith Rose Schmidt of Rolesville, North Carolina, born in Ferdinand, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 1, 2025 at the age of 74. Judith Rose touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Steltenpohl and Rose Mary Steltenpohl. She is survived by: her husband Marty; her sons, Benjamin Schmidt (Molly) of Madison, WI and Matthew Schmidt (Jessica) of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughters, Emma and Olivia; and her sister Susan Bruner (Mark) of Ashland, VA.. She is also survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, granddaughters, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Renaissance Funeral Home (7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi (11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613). A burial will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at the Church's Columbarium.

Donations to WakeMed Foundation (https://www.wakemed.org.) designated toward Heart Services would help support the CardioVascular ICU nurses and staff, in particular, from whom Judy received tremendous care in the last weeks of her life and for whom she and the family are forever grateful.
