He is survived by: his wife Glenda "Joanie" Swaim Russell; his children, Dariel (Lynn Russell), Michael (Rene Russell), Timothy Russell of Ronda, Donna (David Greene) and Mary Ann (Todd Pardue); his brother Kenneth; his sister-in-law Pat Russell of Ronda; his sister Margaret Wood of Elkin; his grandchildren, Lindsey, Eric Blackburn, Preston, Amy Russell, Kylie Russell, Keli Russell, Madison Russell, Destini Russell, Jamie Russell, Seth Crouse, Cooper Crouse, Tashina Parks, Rachel Pardue, William Pardue, Tanner Pardue, Zach and Addi Greene; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Blackburn, Darcie Blackburn, Payton Greene, Mason Greene, Hayden Gaines, Bentlee Reynolds, Ryleigh Reynolds and Cortlan Peppers.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Marler Road Baptist Church (4433 Collins Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at the same location.
