With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Sparks Poplin (Ronda, North Carolina), who passed away on June 22, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Sparks and Juanita Hooper Sparks; and her brother Ricky Sparks. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Poplin; her children, Trent Poplin (Maria) of Elkin and Aletha Eller (Bradley) of West Jefferson; her brother Michael Sparks (Martha) of Roaring River; her grandchildren, Tucker Eller and Max Poplin; her sister-in-law Doris Phillips (Grady) of Lewisville; her nieces, Stephanie Holbrook (Andy) of Roaring River, Amber Anthony (Zack) of Roaring River and Stacey Phillips (Roy Sanders) of Spartanburg; and her great-nieces, Brandy Anthony, Anna Anthony, Morgan Holbrook and Marley Holbrook.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Youth Fund, 1120 Austin Little Mountain Road, Ronda, NC 28670.
