He is survived by: his wife Caroleen Barker; his children, Bob Barker (Carol) of Greensboro, Janice Somers (Barry) of Ronda, Debbie Childress of Ronda and Sandy Thompson (Mark) of Statesville; and his siblings, Gaither Barker (Carol) of Elkin, Helen Stroud of Ronda and Hallie Soots of Ronda. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Swan Creek Baptist Church (2501 Swan Creek Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at the same location.
