She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Harrell Ambrose and Mary Alverdia Bagley Griffin; her son Dustin Worth McGowan; and her sister Faye Phelps. She is survived by: her sisters, Debbie Jones of Creswell and Gwen Burley (Robin) of Raleigh; and her aunt Lynn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maitland Funeral Home (204 E Main St, Creswell, NC 27928).
