She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Edward and Willie Estelle Hassell Patrick; her husband Robert Howell Spruill; her sisters, Janice Patrick Stillman and Carolyn Patrick Frazier; and her great grandchild Madeline.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynne Spruill Cardwell (Garry) of Edenton, Susan Spruill Morris of Stuart, FL and Robin Spruill Howell (Mark) of Danbury; her grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Amanda, Eldon, Helmut, Zachary, Graham, Eli and Cali; her great grandchildren, Alivia, Daegan, Dawson, Owen, Clara Joyce, Joanna, Ariana, Lincoln and Sophie Joyce; and her great great grandchildren, Holland, Sevryn, Swayzie, Lennon and Zeppelin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made either to Oak Grove Baptist Church, or to church of one's choice in memory of Joyce Patrick Spruill.
