It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Moore Swart of Roper, North Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Clement Moore, Sr. and Minnie Lou Kinney Moore; her husband William H. Swart (Bill); her son William Swart Jr.; and her brothers, Rufus Moore, Charles Moore and Vernon Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Swart of Edenton, NC, John Swart (Michele) of Creston, James Swart of College Station, TX and Clifford Swart (Tonya) of Plymouth, NC; her grandchildren, Derek Swart (Michelle) of Hillsborough, Jenna McDonnell (Marc) of King, NC, William Swart of Durham, NC, Sydney Swart of Pine Prairie, LA, Olivia Swart of College Station, TX, Demetrius Davis of Charlotte, NC, Traveona Armstrong of Charlotte, NC and Janiysia Armstrong of Plymouth, NC; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Case, Lucy, Hardie McDonnell, Cipie and Ansel Swart. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
