She was predeceased by : her parents, William P. Pierce and Minnie Luther Asbell Pierce; her husband Gordon A. Chesson; and her children, Debra C. Hopkins and Larry Gray Chesson (late Undine).

She is survived by : her daughter Freda Chesson Phelps (Charles) of Creswell; her son-in-law Blaine Hopkins of Gum Neck; her grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole (Justin), Erik and Emilou (Danny); and her great grandchildren, Celeste and Savannah.
