He was predeceased by: his parents, Norwood Lanier (Pete) and Nancy Turner Lanier. He is survived by: his brother Harry Keith Lanier (Susan) of Harrells; his sibling's children, Jerry Lanier (Haley) of Clayton and Olivia Lanier of Raleigh; and his great-nephews, Thomas and Carson Lanier. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services (401 W Main St, Wallace, NC 28466). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at the Oak Plain Presbyterian Church Cemetery (6800 Waycross Rd, Rose Hill, NC 28458).
