He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph and Sally Murphy Rouse; his brothers, Chester Joseph Rouse and David W. Rouse, Sr.; and his nephew David Rouse Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Stella Wells Rouse; his sons, Eric Rouse (Jennifer) of Sneads Ferry and Stuart Rouse of Rose Hill; his grandson Griffin Wells Rouse; and his nieces, Patricia McGarity of Nashville, TN and Treva Simmons (Gene) of Charlotte.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church (129 E Main St, Rose Hill, NC 28458).
